DLF Foundation upgraded and installed smart classrooms in 10 government schools in Noida under its Integrated School Development Project with the mission to provide scholastic and co-scholastic support to students in the field of education. The Foundation through this initiative seeks to upgrade the academic standards and learning outcomes in these government schools. A total of 3096 students have benefited and 5000 students are expected to benefit after the completion of this project.
A MoU was signed between District Magistrate of Noida and DLF Foundation to revamp the infrastructure and introduce amenities to improve the standard of education in 20 government schools in three phases in Noida.
The programme expects a paradigm shift in the teaching-learning process by the use of digital technology. The establishment of digital classrooms would ensure a more interactive and engaging learning experience. It will also significantly improve the capacity of teachers to use the digital content and use activity approach to make teaching- learning more interactive and effective. DLF Foundation also introduced plethora of amenities such as like Child Resource Centre, Creation of ICT Room & amphitheatre; Library, installation of water cooler, separate toilets for boys, girls and teachers, whitewash of the school, Green boards for classrooms, provision of benches and desks for students, PA systems, Library, Swings, Horticulture in school campus and many more.
While delivering the DLF Vision for Integrated School Upgradation Program, Maj Gen KVS Lalotra, AVSM, YSM, SM (Retd), Sr. Advisor (DLF Education), DLF Foundation said Our main objective is to improve the quality of education in selected 20 Govt schools in Noida by supporting the Principal and school team to bring improvement in scholastic and co-scholastic domains of education. Our interventions are targeted at upgrading academics standards and learning outcomes. Ultimately, we want to nurture educated, skilled and morally upright generations who are employable, useful and productive citizens.
He further added, We are working to achieve this by establishing Digital Classrooms for delivery of quality education, capacity building of teachers, support students with remedial classes and start English proficiency programme. We will also start Hobbies and Vocational Training Programme in some of the Senior Secondary schools. Sports Programme for health and distressing and identify sporting talent for further nurturing, would also be given attention.
The second phase of this development will focus on providing vocational training to teachers to use the digital content and facilitate activity based learning which will make learning more interactive and efficient. Introduction of proper sports programme for students for health and distressing purpose. DLF Foundation has also undertaken various other initiatives on ground under their Talent Nurturing Programme like scholarship and counseling support; Support to primary schools for their underprivileged and their remedial education in over 20 government schools.

We acknowledge the benefits provided by the Foundation in the up-gradation of education facilities in our school like WASH Kits, BaLa (building as Learning Aid) Arts, Sports Kits so that every child has access to sports, Computer Lab, Library and much more. The Foundation has upgraded the school infrastructure, provided various learning aids and training to teachers and workforce. The Wash Model programme will also have a larger impact on the quality of education in the school. We will ensure that all the facilities provided by DLF Foundation will be well taken care of by the teachers and students. We are committed to make our school a model school of Uttar Pradesh which others are able to emulate.
DLF Foundation plans to upgrade another 10 government schools of Noida, Uttar Pradesh and it is expected to benefit 5000 students approximately.
