Miracle Foundation, a non-profit organization based in New Delhi and the US has announced its association with Dell. As a part of the association, Dell will be extending their support to the children without parental care at Miracle Foundation under their “Giving back” program.

Miracle Foundation India ensures that children without parental care in India receive all their rights: food, clean water, healthcare and educationall in a stable, loving, nurturing environment. The foundation is currently supporting 26 children’s homes, supporting thousands of children across India from the hinterlands of Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Telangana, Kerala, and Madhya Pradesh to the far-flung areas of Tripura.

Aimed towards improving the lives of children without parents, Dell under the “Giving back” program provides a strong framework to enable and encourage their employees to provide support to the charitable causes and non-profit organizations.

At Dell, volunteering in social projects is provided to employees for volunteerism. To drive this, Dell has a structure of employee ambassadors representing different businesses and teams across all the cities and sites. These ambassadors are supported by the CSR head for the region.

The senior business leaders and leaders at each of the Dell sites in India are passionately engaged in community service with the goal of achieving the corporate goal of 75% employee participation by 2020.

As a part of the “Giving back” initiative, Dell is contributing to Miracle’s goal by providing:

  1. Library books and shelves in 5 children homes from Maharashtra and Telangana.
  2. Painting the library at one of the homes in Maharashtra.
  3. Support for 14 bicycles for the school going children who used to travel up to 2 kilometers on foot otherwise
