The ISB-IICA Certificate Short Term Programme (STP) in CSR Management will be jointly offered by the Indian School of Business and the Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs that functions under the Ministry of Corporate Affairs, Government of India. Both, the ISB and the IICA have been engaged in the task of capacity-building of professionals through several management and social impact programmes.
This is a first of its kind programme that comes at an opportune time when the Indian corporate sector is gearing up to build capacity for its CSR initiatives in the light of the new Companies Act 2013 mandating two percent of company profits for CSR activities. An approximate 16,000 companies will be undertaking several CSR projects in compliance with this directive. This mandates a huge requirement for professionals who can lead and run CSR projects for these organisations. STP in CSR management will lead the way in addressing this gap to meet the needs of the industry.
The programme brings about perfect alignment between management practices, corporate strategies and CSR as per Section 135, Companies Act 2013, which will benefit officials from the Indian and global corporate and public sector entities.
