Anupam Shyam Ojha an Indian film and television actor, who usually plays villainous roles. He is well known for his role of Thakur Sajjan Singh in ths STAR Plus TV series Mann Kee Awaaz Pratigya (2009). He belongs to Pratapgarh, has acted in more than 60 films, and his last movie was the 2008 Slumdog Millionaire. He started his film career with Sardari Begum in 1996.
Ojha says, “I very much appreciate the effort of Sunita Dubey. Our prime minister have also started the Beti bachao Andolan recently but my sister Sunita is working towards empowering women since last so many years. I would like to do whatever I can to Save The Girl Child.”
Save the Girl Child Movement is one of its kind unique movements started by the visionary philanthropist, social worker and medical practitioner Dr. Sunita Dubey. This movement was initiated and implemented by Medscape India- An Aryan Medical and Educational Trust under the leadership of Dr. Sunita Dubey & supported by the Director-STGC Mr. Krishna Sanjay. It aims to bring freedom and empowerment to the girl child and women of our country, through various educational drives and also imparting education, nourishment, recognition financial freedom, and an overall personality development.
Mumbai Additional Commissioner of Police, Krishna Prakash was also present to show his concern and support towards the cause. In the course of the event Dr. Sunita Dube said, “We blame Government and Doctors for the female foeticide happening in our country. This event is an honest effort to educate everyone to stop this killing”.
She also added, “Girl child forms an important constituent of the society. So let’s take an oath that each individual should save at least 10 girls as our duty. This way we can save all the girls.”
Last year legendary actor Amitabh Bachchan had come forward to support the cause. Recently our honorable president Dr. Pranab Mukherjee appreciated Dr. Sunita Dube’s Save The Girl Child movement by showing his concern. Today at the event many celebs of entertainment industry extended their support for this noble cause.
Save the Girl Child movement intends to travel all over Mumbai, Thane, and Maharashtra and across the country to change the lives of the Girl child and Women of our country.
