Gati Ltd. Express Distribution and Supply Chain Indian tycoon recently launched the CSR program ‘Gati Muskaan’ with the sole intention of not just only fulfilling its social responsibility but also spreading ‘muskaan’ i.e. smiles and happiness and affect their lives positively. This unique program aims to give heed to all the aspects of life, like education, health, environment and community development. In the mean time, the company has also come to the terms with the fact that if these facets are not considered as a whole, all the efforts to become sustainable will go in vain.

‘Muskaan’ initiative had an auspicious beginning by planting 200 saplings across 16 locations in India, where Gati has its Express distribution centres. Some of these cities include Hyderabad, Bangalore, New Delhi, Mumbai and Chennai to name a few. In June 2013, Gati Infrastructure had committed itself to planting 1-lakh trees in Sikkim, which was very well received by the local communities in the region. Now, this drive has been extended on a pan-India scale in a new capacity under ‘GatiMuskaan’.

Gati is has a soft corner towards underprivileged children of the society, which led the team to conduct a series of activities in orphanages across 17 locations in India. Painting, dancing, singing competition, fun games and prizes uplifted the spirits of children. Best paintings from all locations will be displayed and spotlighted at the Gati office premises. A Happy Meal from McDonalds was like gamishing of the pizza, creating moments of ecstacy for each and all.
Gati is also sponsoring an orphanage “Human Development Foundation of Sikkim (HDFS)” where tribal children come from the highly protected area of Zongu. This orphanage was founded by Ms KeepuLepcha who has been conferred with awards like the “Padma Shri”, “CNN IBN Real Hero Award” and many more, for her selfless work in the development of underprivileged children and outstanding contribution in the field of social service.
